This Car Could Live Off One Tank Of Gas!

August 26, 2014 about Pontiac Grand Am

I owned this car for a few years, and I will start by saying, it wasn't the best car on gas, but it must of had a tank the size of an elephant. I was driving home from a long road trip, (about 4-5 hours away from home) and my gas light decided to come on about an hour and half before getting home. I didn't realize, but there was no more open gas stations for the next hour so I had no choice but to keep driving. I drove the entire hour with the light on and the car was still going, so for shits and giggles we decided to keep driving to see if we could make the extra 30 minutes. Well we made the trip home, and I left the car till the next day. I ended up just making the trip to the gas station before the car decided to die.

that does sound a bit steap. the battery alone shuold be a great deal of that though. flag on the play though. the battery could still be under warranty at the dealer. a g5 is not that old. i can find a battery for that car ranging from 75.00 to 105.00. this does not include the core charge or the installation but it is a starting point. tax is another thing that is not in that figure. 39-90 is a bit light though, out the door.
