City - 82.2 Till Turn-Off & 129.6 Hwy

July 15, 2014 about Saab 9-5

I drive a 2001 Saab 9-5 SE V6t - 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 4A) with a fuel tank capacity of 18.5 gallons and consumes premium fuel at 19 gal/city & 24 gal/hwy.

I did two tests. One test in the City and the other, Highway. Both with fair weather conditions of 75 degrees with winds at 10-15 knots.

Each test began with: ~ Oil that needs to be changed within 3k miles (based on national average). ~ Sport Mode inactive. ~ Tires set to 32 PSI (all four). ~ Tire alinement being fair (with slight vibrations at 74+ mph). ~ Milage at 427,000 miles. ~ Warning lights were not present. ~ Additional 75 pounds was added for extra miscellaneous cargo.

CITY TEST - Both slow acceleration (under 2,000 RPMs) and 6 hard accelerations (MAX 4,000 RPMs):

Result - 82.2 miles after warning light was illuminated.

HIGHWAY TEST - Both slow acceleration (under 2,000 RPMs) and 6 hard accelerations (MAX 4,000 RPMs):

Result - 129.6 miles after warning light was illuminated.
