Light goes on or gage says empty?

The question isn't clear. The light comes on when there is still more than about 1/8th of a tank left. If you flip computer to how many miles you have left, it will show about 75-80miles. After the miles left go to zero and the fuel gage shows zero, you can usually go about 30 to 40 miles more. I think responses here are assuming when gage goes to zero, not when light goes on.
