My heart was racing!

I own a 1995 civic. I'm a woman and usually I don't do this but for some reason, I went to PCH drvie (the coastal drive), and I saw my car had close to empty and it was toggling between "E" and near it so I was so scared but I had no choice and kept going. I went to get gas finally so I am here because I'm wondering if there was any damage to the engine. this shit is starting to scare me. It still drives good though.
