Tank on Empty

Gas Light

As soon as your gas light comes on immediately stop in for gas and fill it up and you'll find that you can only get approximately 15 gallons in the tank which is an 18.2 gallon capacity tank. This leaves you approximately 3 gallons remaining. The ability to continue travelling on the remaining fuel is depended on how you drive and where (city or hiway). The number of miles you can go before running out of fuel is therefore dependent on your MPG performance...in the city you'll be lucky to get 16-17 MPG and hiway you can get 25-26 MPG. So do the math and you'll be safe and not have to call the AAA.
